Don't know. The company that did the original went out of business... maybe some of the old Hellsing team thought they could do better.
Besides, there should be more to it now. It's been a while, so there's probably been some new stuff happening in the books. In one of the clips there's a small nazi regime, so I'm expecting that there'll be some new stuffs.
